Turkic States to Collaboratively Develop Satellite
Third meeting of space agencies of the Organization of Turkic States, April 24, 2024, Ankara, Turkey.

An agreement has been reached among Turkic states to jointly develop satellites, announced Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States, Mirvohid Azimov, in a statement following the third meeting of space agencies of member and observer countries of the organization.

According to a Thursday press release of Turkmenistan’s Demirýollary agency, the Turkmen delegation also participated in the third meeting of space agencies of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara, Turkey. Turkmenistan was represented at this event by Batyr Orazdurdyyev, Director of Türkmen hemrasy CJSC.

As per the announcement, a team of engineers from the respective countries will work at the Kazakhstan Research Center as part of this project, resulting in the launch of a satellite into space.

During the meeting held, the parties discussed areas of cooperation in space and satellite technology. Agreements were also reached on certain issues related to space research between the parties.
