President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a ceremony in the southern part of Ashgabat to unveil the monument and cultural park complex of Magtymguly Pyragy on Friday, reports Turkmenistan's news program Watan Habarlary.
Speaking to the ceremony participants, the Head of State warmly congratulated everyone on this event, held at an international level in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy.
The event featured musical performances and literary-artistic compositions by creative groups from the country. An exhibition of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and carpet products was also organized in the park complex.
The President of Turkmenistan and the participants laid flowers at the monument to the great poet and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy.
The ceremony concluded with a grand light show.
The Magtymguly Pyragy cultural-park complex includes monuments to famous personalities and poets from around the world.
