South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol invited President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit South Korea at a mutually convenient time.
As reported by the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan on Tuesday, the heads of state held a bilateral meeting in a friendly and warm atmosphere on Monday in Ashgabat.
According to the report, Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted the South Korean leader's invitation. The dates of the visit will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for expanding and deepening cooperation in economic, social, and cultural spheres, regional and global issues of mutual interest, and agreed to further develop mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries for their shared prosperity.
Yoon Suk Yeol also proposed holding a Republic of Korea - Central Asia summit.
On the same day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Yoon Suk Yeol held extended talks, culminating in a ceremony for signing bilateral documents.
