Public Holiday For Eid al-Adha Moved to June 19
Moment from the celebration of Eid al-Adha

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced during a regular online Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday the signing of a Decree to celebrate Eid al-Adha on June 16-17-18, 2024, and to move the public holiday from June 16 to Wednesday, June 19.

According to the official media of Turkmenistan, the Decree aims to further strengthen the unity and cohesion of the courageous and inspired people in the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, in accordance with Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan.

The document mandates all institutions, enterprises, and organizations, regardless of ownership, to comply with the Decree.
During the meeting, the Head of State warmly congratulated everyone on this sacred holiday and wished that their sacrifices be accepted.

Eid al-Adha, primarily observed as a family holiday, entails the preparation of delicious dishes for guests in every household.
