Japanese Firms Plan to Introduce Latest Tech to Turkmen Market

Senior Strategic Advisor of Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Tatsuya Watanabe, and Executive Director Kenji Sanada highlighted significant business interest from Japan in Turkmenistan's promising market. They expressed readiness to contribute expertise and advanced technological developments.

According to the official media of Turkmenistan,they made these statements during their meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, in Ashgabat on Thursday.

Discussing Turkmenistan-Japan cooperation, the National Leader emphasized that trade and economic relations are a priority area. He underscored that Turkmen-Japanese business relations have reached a qualitatively new level and are successfully advancing in various sectors.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also noted that in implementing projects in the country, it is crucial to apply advanced experience and technologies, while ensuring that projects meet high quality standards and environmental requirements. Expressing readiness to consider proposals from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. for further bilateral partnership development, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in continuing fruitful cooperation.

During its years of operation in Turkmenistan, Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. has implemented several major projects, including a natural gas-to-gasoline plant in Ovadan-Depe, a urea plant in Mary Province, and the Kelete cement plant.
