Kazakhstan will increase the transit of Turkmen and Uzbek gas to China to 37.1 billion cubic meters, an increase of 1.5 billion cubic meters in 2024. Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev announced this during a government meeting on Tuesday, July 16, the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan reports.
The report highlighted the ongoing transit of Russian gas to Central Asia, noting that the transit to Uzbekistan started in October of last year.
Discussions are also underway regarding the potential increase of Russian gas transit to Kyrgyzstan.
