"Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TLCT) JSC actively conducts work on the transportation of regular container freight trains and carries out work to reduce the time of train trips.

Taking into account the importance of cargo traffic from the Middle East, on December 22, 2023, the participating countries organized bilateral meetings between representatives of “Uzbekistan Temir Yullari” JSC and the “Turkmendemiryollary” Agency in Istanbul. During the meeting, the parties discussed speeding up the passage of container trains through the territories of Turkmenistan to the territory of Uzbekistan and back, as well as the application of special tariff rates for the transportation of containers through the territories of the parties.

In addition, the parties agreed on the appointment of responsible logistics companies in each country for the organization of transportation along the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-further third countries corridor.

In this regard, the first batch of a container train consisting of 20 (twenty) TEU containers (cargo — ceramic plates) was successfully shipped from the port of Bandar Abbas in the direction of Sarakhs with the final destination at the railway station Chukursai (Uzbekistan).

It is also worth noting the professional performance of transshipment of wagons belonging to "third" countries into wagons of CIS countries at the Sarakhs station.
