Turkmenistan's Banks Extend Loans Exceeding 89.3 Billion Manats

As of June 1, 2024, the total amount of outstanding loan funds allocated by credit institutions of Turkmenistan to enterprises, organizations, and the population in the national currency amounted to 89 billion 328.53 million manats. The total balance of loans, as of June 1, 2023, amounted to 90 billion 138.80 million manats, according to the Bank Habarlary electronic journal, published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

As of June 1, 2024, the balance of loans allocated to state institutions and enterprises amounted to 53 billion 705 million manats. The total balance of loans as of June 1, 2023, reached 58 billion 147 million manats.

According to the data, as of June 1, 2024, the total balance of loans allocated to the private sector of the country in the national currency amounted to 12 billion 921 million manats. As of June 1, 2023, the total balance of these loans reached 12 billion 101 million manats.

The total balance of loans allocated to citizens and entrepreneurs engaged in entrepreneurial activities without forming a legal entity for the reporting period amounted to 22 billion 703 million manats. As of June 1, 2023, the total balance of loans amounted to 19 billion 890 million manats.
