Ojar Asia private company has signed an agreement with the Eurasian branch of Sino Hydro Bureau 12. Co., Ltd. to construct a new high-speed highway Sarahs-Mary-Serkhetabat.

This 450-kilometer-long highway, with an additional 35 kilometers of auxiliary roads, aligns with the country’s policy of diversifying energy exports by leveraging modern transportation diplomacy. It is expected to boost external trade and facilitate the export of natural resources to global markets.

The highway will meet the highest international standards and will be one of the region’s widest, with a 50-meter roadway comprising eight lanes. Special dividers will be installed to enhance traffic safety. The construction will utilize innovative materials, including asphalt concrete, synthetic surfaces, and special reinforcement elements to increase the road’s durability and quality.

The project is estimated to cost over $2 billion, with financing expected to come from foreign investments and to be carried out by the private sector.
