Turkmenistan Participated in Turkic States Energy Ministers Meeting in Bishkek

On Monday, September 16, 2024, the fourth meeting of energy ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Bishkek.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, N. Golliyev; Kazakhstan's First Vice Minister of Energy, S. Yessimkhanov; Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, P. Shahbazov; Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy, T. Ibraev; Turkey's Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, A. Conkar; State Secretary of Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs, P. Stara; Uzbekistan's First Deputy Minister of Energy, B. Mamatkarimov; and OTS Secretary General, K. Omuraliev.

In his speech, Turkmenistan's Ambassador N. Golliyev highlighted the importance of energy cooperation among the member states and the significant potential for strengthening collaboration to ensure stable and sustainable energy supply. He also noted that this meeting marked another step toward further development and productive cooperation in the energy sector.

During the event, the heads of delegations reviewed joint activities in the energy sector within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. They emphasized the importance of the "Turkic World Development Concept to 2040," the Astana Declaration, the OTS Program, and the Action Plan for Energy Cooperation for 2023-2027, all of which aim to strengthen constructive cooperation and comprehensive interaction between the energy ministries of the Turkic states.

Participants also exchanged views on the importance of developing green energy corridors across the region and welcomed progress in implementing projects to promote and transmit green energy among member countries.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Joint Communiqué.
