Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is participating in the second meeting of Central Asian heads of state with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Astana, held a meeting with representatives of German business circles.
Parliamentary State Secretary of Germany's Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection, Michael Kellner, warmly welcomed the President of Turkmenistan and expressed the strong interest of German business circles in expanding traditional cooperation with Turkmenistan across several promising sectors. The increased attention was attributed to the positive experience gained from years of successful collaboration, as well as the favorable conditions that Turkmenistan offers for foreign businesses.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, greeted the leaders of major companies and members of the official delegation from Germany. He noted with satisfaction the growing interest in Turkmenistan and the expanding scope of bilateral cooperation, as evidenced by the diverse and representative group of participants in today's meeting.
Priority areas for further development of cooperation were highlighted, including renewable energy, transportation and communications, chemical and textile industries, agriculture, the transition to a "green economy," and innovations and technologies.
