Turkmenistan is planning to launch mass production of syringes and other disposable medical products using local raw materials, which will make up 60-70% of the total materials used.
According to official Turkmen media reports on Thursday, this initiative aims to enhance the country’s self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports.
Specialists have already successfully produced test models of 3 ml and 10 ml syringes, which have proven suitable for medical product manufacturing.
Tests conducted have confirmed the high quality of the local raw materials, marking a significant achievement for the industry.
The use of disposable syringes helps reduce the risk of infections and complications, making them essential in medical practice.
Earlier, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, instructed the establishment of medical polypropylene production in line with international standards and called for effective measures to produce medical-grade salt that meets global requirements, using the country’s salt deposits and enterprises within the relevant industrial group.
