During the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan (OGT-2024) international conference in Ashgabat, Turkmen representatives held meetings with delegations from Petronas, CNPC, Lukoil, and KazMunayGas. The discussions focused on potential joint projects, including investments and the introduction of advanced technologies into the country’s energy sector.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media on Wednesday, the participants placed particular emphasis on sustainable development and the transition to renewable energy sources — key priorities for the country.

Representatives from international companies expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation, underscoring Turkmenistan’s critical role in the global energy market. These discussions reaffirm the country’s goal of expanding partnerships to strengthen energy security and foster sustainable development.

On the same day, Maksat Babayev, Chairman of Türkmengaz State Concern, met with the World Bank’s permanent representative to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, Andrei Mikhnev, to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
