Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, will host the 3rd Turkmen-Chinese Science and Innovation Forum on November 26-27, 2024, titled “Innovations, New Technologies, and Their Industrial Applications,” announced Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Education, Health, Sports, Youth, and Public Affairs, Bayramgul Orazdurdiyeva, during a regular online Cabinet meeting on Friday.
The forum will focus on the active application of research results in industry and the expansion of international scientific and technological collaboration, according to official Turkmen media.
Participants will explore new avenues of cooperation in areas such as nanotechnology, chemical technology, biotechnology, agriculture, ecology, genetics, as well as modern information and communication systems and pharmaceuticals.
In signing the decree for the forum, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of advancing scientific and technical cooperation with international partners, including China.
Several other priority issues concerning national governance were also addressed during the government meeting.
