The XVII International Exhibition and Scientific Conference Türkmentel-2024, dedicated to telecommunications, telemetries, information technologies, and broadcasting equipment, opened Thursday in Ashgabat.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants and organizers on the opening of the exhibition, highlighting the importance of strengthening the telecommunications sector. "Currently, we are successfully implementing innovative digital technologies and information-communication equipment that meet international standards into our national telecommunications system. As a result, significant resources are being invested to create and modernize communication enterprises and institutions. Consistent efforts are underway to achieve a new level of modern, competitive communication services for the public. Great attention also goes to training highly qualified specialists in this field," the head of state noted in his greeting, as reported by official media sources in Turkmenistan.
Leading global companies, including Amazon Project Kuiper, SpaceX, Ozon Marketplace Kazakhstan, Dell Technologies, EUROPEAN NETWORKS, Eastwind, Huawei, and Samsung, are participating in the exhibition.
Türkmentel-2024 serves as an important platform for sharing experiences and discussing key topics such as the digital economy, cybersecurity, satellite communication, and the development of 5G.
The event features specialized seminars on the digitalization of postal services and a competition for innovative projects aimed at young IT specialists, underscoring a comprehensive approach to developing the technology sector.
Organizers expect Türkmentel-2024 to facilitate new partnerships between Turkmen and international experts, contributing to the growth of the telecommunications industry in the region.
The exhibition takes place at the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and will continue until November 16.
