International logistics operator CDEK launched cargo transportation services between Russia and Turkmenistan, Ildar Timerhanov, director of CDEK-Inter, announced Thursday at the XVII International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies, and Broadcasting Türkmentel-2024 in Ashgabat, TASS reported.

Initially, CDEK facilitated shipments only from Turkmenistan to Russia, but as of October, the company opened the reverse route. Timerhanov noted that CDEK now operates in both directions at full capacity.

A key factor in the successful launch has been the partnership with the national postal operator, Turkmenpost. "Turkmenpost has proven to be a reliable partner. With its support and thanks to the open policy of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, we have significantly accelerated our entry into the local market," Timerhanov said.

Founded in 2000, CDEK now operates in 36 countries worldwide and has a network of over 5,000 order pickup points. By the end of 2023, the company’s total turnover reached 70.6 billion rubles.
