Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan Region of Russia will host a Business Forum titled "Astrakhan Region – Turkmenistan: New Horizons of Trade and Economic Cooperation" in 2025.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations of Astrakhan Region reported that Vladimir Golovkov, the Minister of Foreign Relations, and the Consul of Turkmenistan Gadam Ilamanov, in Astrakhan, discussed this event during a meeting at the Ministry's office on Tuesday.
The agenda also included preparations for the fourth meeting of the Astrakhan-Turkmen Joint Council on Entrepreneurship and plans for a visit from a Turkmen delegation led by the head of the Balkan velayat. They addressed the establishment of a logistics center for Turkmenistan in the special economic zone of the Astrakhan port and the opening of direct air routes connecting Ashgabat, Astrakhan, and Kazan.
At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Golovkov and Gadam Ilamanov agreed to develop a strategic cooperation plan that will include Turkmenistan's participation in international events in the Astrakhan Region in 2025.
