Leaders from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs plan to visit Ashgabat soon for inter-ministerial consultations, official media in Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy, Toyly Komekov, and Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister, Edmondo Cirielli, discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of the high-level Italian delegation to the capital of Turkmenistan during their meeting in Rome on Wednesday.
During their talks, both sides outlined specific steps to expand cooperation in international organizations and deepen partnerships in science, culture, and trade.
The meeting also noted that a delegation of Italian specialists in education, healthcare, energy, and sustainable development will visit Turkmenistan's capital in early December 2024. The visit aims to implement agreements reached at the Italy — Central Asia meeting held in May in Rome.
