Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Elders' Council of the Turkic States Organization, invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, to join the 16th meeting of the Elders' Council in Budapest as an honored guest.
Turkmenistan's official media reported that Yıldırım extended the invitation during a phone call with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Monday.
Yıldırım also sent warm greetings from President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Yıldırım for the invitation and sent his best wishes to President of The Türkiye on behalf of himself and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During their conversation, the leaders discussed the strong bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Türkiye, expressing their commitment to deepening cooperation further.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the issues discussed at the upcoming Council meeting would strengthen ties among Turkic countries.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People invited Binali Yıldırım to visit Ashgabat in December to participate in events dedicated to International Neutrality Day.
At the end of the phone call, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, and Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Elders' Council of the Turkic States Organization, exchanged wishes for good health and happiness while expressing hopes for peace, prosperity, and well-being for the peoples of both countries.
