Turkmenistan to Fund Salaries by December 20

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during an online government meeting on Friday, instructed officials to ensure strict control over salary funding for workers in all enterprises and organizations, regardless of ownership, by December 20, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented a report on key economic indicators for January to November 2024. He noted that, thanks to implemented measures, the country's GDP grew by 6.3% during this period. Leading sectors included construction, which increased by 11%, trade at 9.5%, the transport and communications sector at 7.1%, services at 8.7%, agriculture at 5.3%, and industry at 2.2%.

The volume of produced goods rose by 12.1% compared to the same period last year, while retail turnover increased by 12.8%. Stable figures also appeared in foreign trade turnover.

Geldimyradov reported that state budget revenues reached 102.6%, while expenditures stood at 97.7%. The average salary in large and medium-sized enterprises grew by 10.6%, and the volume of utilized investments increased by 29.2%.

As part of the National Rural Program, officials continue the construction of 49 social facilities, 32 water treatment plants, and 725,100 square meters of housing.

During the government meeting, officials also reviewed the results of the past 11 months and outlined key tasks for further socio-economic development of the country.
