President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree pardoning 276 convicted citizens during an expanded Cabinet meeting in honor of International Neutrality Day on Monday.
Official media of Turkmenistan reported that the document, based on principles of humanitarianism and mercy, aims to strengthen unity and cohesion within society.
According to the decree, the pardoned individuals will no longer serve their prison sentences.
