Turkmenistan has joined the updated list of countries whose citizens can obtain a unified electronic visa for travel to Russia.
Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin signed the relevant order, as reported by the Russian government on Friday.
In addition to Turkmenistan, the list includes Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, and Eswatini.
Currently, the electronic visa issuance mechanism covers 64 countries. The procedure, launched on August 1, 2023, takes place through the Russian Foreign Ministry portal and is available for tourism, business, humanitarian, and guest trips. The process takes no more than four days and does not require invitations, bookings, or other supporting documents. For children under six years old, the electronic visa is issued free of charge.
