On December 27, 2024, a festive ceremony marked the opening of a new apartment house for the staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, held in Tashkent on the eve of the New Year, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A. Gurbanov, alongside officials from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign diplomatic missions, representatives from various ministries and public organizations, media members, and Turkmen students studying in Uzbekistan.
Constructed by the private enterprise Döwlet Gurluşyk, the modern three-story apartment building features 12 well-designed apartments equipped with high-quality materials, modern kitchens, and systems to maintain an optimal microclimate. The grounds include playgrounds and sports facilities for residents.
Participants expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of Turkmen People for their commitment to improving living conditions for foreign policy workers.
During a visit by a Turkmenistan delegation to Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov met with Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahtiyor Saidov. The diplomats emphasized the importance of regular high-level meetings in strengthening their partnership.
The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian fields, as well as regional and international issues. The two sides outlined collaboration plans for the upcoming year.
