Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, discussed the organization of the second Dialogue of Women of Central Asia and Russia during a recent telephone call with Valentina Matviyenko, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People emphasized the importance of this dialogue in promoting peace, cooperation, and the role of women in international relations. He noted the success of the inaugural dialogue held in Turkmenistan in 2022, which highlighted the positive contributions of women to diplomatic efforts and international engagement.
The National Leader’s proposal aims to reaffirm the Caspian Sea’s historical significance as a region of peace and effective collaboration. He stressed that the upcoming event will focus on fostering dialogue, respect, and tolerance, aligning with the UN General Assembly's designation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
During their conversation, the leaders exchanged New Year greetings and reiterated their commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Russia. They acknowledged the significance of political dialogue in fostering peace and sustainable development, particularly in today's complex political climate.
The proposed dialogue seeks to position the Caspian Sea as a hub for responsible international diplomacy and constructive cooperation, with a specific focus on empowering women as key players in these efforts.
