The CGTN Russian channel reported on the growing popularity of Chinese goods in Ashgabat, highlighting the opening of Turkmenistan's first showroom for Chinese automobiles. This showroom not only offers world-class vehicles but also attracts buyers with favorable purchasing conditions, according to official media in Turkmenistan.
China continues to strengthen its position in the Turkmen market, making Chinese-made cars more accessible than ever. With appealing features and ongoing improvements, these vehicles are confidently securing a leading spot in the country's automotive market.
"In recent years, Chinese automotive manufacturing has made significant progress. Our cars feature modern designs developed in collaboration with global design studios, as well as rich equipment, including multimedia systems, rearview cameras, and safety systems. Moreover, the prices of Chinese cars provide an excellent balance of quality and cost. Starting in February 2025, we will also offer our clients loans for up to five years," said Mekan Gylyjov, a representative of the showroom.
However, the automotive market is not the only area where Chinese goods gain popularity in Turkmenistan. From fashionable clothing to advanced electronics, Chinese products steadily attract local consumers due to their variety and improved quality.
Trade between China and Central Asia grew by 5.9% in 2024, reaching $85.58 billion, confirming the rising interest in Chinese goods. This trend prominently features in major projects like the new showroom.
For those seeking a new car or fashionable clothing at affordable prices, this showroom and store will offer quality products with favorable purchasing conditions and reliable delivery.
In September of last year, Ashgabat celebrated the grand opening of the first showroom for the Chinese premium brand Voyah and presented its flagship hybrid crossover, the Voyah Free.
