President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met on Tuesday in Ashgabat with the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislav Chepurny, who presented his credentials to the head of state, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for the meeting and conveyed greetings from the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, emphasizing his country's commitment to traditional and friendly dialogue with Turkmenistan.
In turn, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated Chepurny on his appointment and expressed confidence that his work would contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.
The sides discussed the state and prospects of Turkmen-Belarusian cooperation, noting active interaction not only in bilateral but also in multilateral formats. Special attention was given to humanitarian exchanges, including in the fields of education, science, sports, and culture.
At the end of the meeting, the diplomat assured that he would do everything possible to further strengthen relations between the two countries and to develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
On the same day, the head of state received Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, the General Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund.
