The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, congratulated the Galkynyş national equestrian games group on their triumphant performance at the International Circus Arts Festival in Monte Carlo, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media on Tuesday.
The group, which has made the Ahal-Teke horses famous, won the festival's grand prize, once again showcasing the magnificence of the Ahal-Teke steeds and the skill of the riders.
Speaking to the members of the group, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that this success is a significant achievement for Turkmen art as well as for strengthening cultural dialogue with the global community, including the Principality of Monaco. The leader emphasized that the Ahal-Teke horses are a symbol of Turkmenistan’s rapid development and the cultural heritage of its people.
At the meeting, Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that "Galkynyş" will continue to promote Turkmen equestrian art and further enhance the country's international recognition. He wished the artists good health, well-being, and new victories on the global stage.
Founded in 2007, the Galkynyş group built a strong reputation on the international stage with unique performances and complex tricks performed on Ahal-Teke horses. Over the years, the group’s members won the top awards at international circus festivals five times and achieved world champion titles.
