New facilities opened in the Balkan Velayat of Turkmenistan for the military personnel of the Ministry of Defense and the Velayat Police in honor of Defender of the Homeland Day, news program Watan habarlary reported this on Friday.
In particular, a new complex of military facilities and social buildings emerged for the military personnel of the Ministry of Defense.
The complex includes an administrative building, a cultural center, a medical station, a cafeteria, and a sports ground. It provides everything necessary for comfortable use and meets modern requirements.
Additionally, during the celebrations, organizers handed over vehicles on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. An important event included the opening of two new two-story residential buildings designed for 64 families.
New four-story residential buildings for the personnel of the Police Department of the Balkan Velayat in Balkanabat also opened, each accommodating 32 families. Craftsmen from the private enterprise Alawly türkmen completed all construction.
On January 23, 2025, in anticipation of Defender of the Homeland Day, a solemn ceremony took place in the Choganly residential area of the Bagtyýarlyk district in the capital, marking the opening of more than 90 two-story cottages. This event became part of the next phase of the residential complex named after Malikguly Berdimuhamedov of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.
