The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France and Monaco, Maksat Charyyev, and the President of Peace and Sport, Joël Bouzou, met on Tuesday in Paris. They discussed the prospects for holding an international forum of the organization in Turkmenistan.
During the negotiations, which took place in the context of the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the participants considered Turkmenistan's possible involvement in Peace and Sport events in 2025, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France.
The sides also talked about implementing the agreements reached during the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the Principality of Monaco on January 19–20.
Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation, develop initiatives aimed at promoting sport as a tool for peace, and enhance international dialogue.
Peace and Sport is an international non-governmental organization founded in 2007 that uses sport as a means to promote peace, sustainable development, and social inclusion.
