In 2024, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan experienced a notable increase in mutual trade, with the total volume approaching $400 million, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Friday.

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported that exports from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan amounted to $303.47 million, while imports from Azerbaijan totaled $80.24 million, contributing to an overall trade volume of $383.9 million.

In contrast, Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover for 2024 was reported at $47.6 billion, consisting of $26.55 billion in exports and $21.05 billion in imports. This significant increase in trade between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan highlights the potential for expanded economic partnerships in the region.

In 2023, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan reached an impressive $738.9 million, surging 73%.
