In the city of Arkadag on Saturday, celebratory events took place honoring the successful performance of the Group of National Equestrian Games Galkynyş from the Ahal-Teke Horse Complex of the President of Turkmenistan at the 47th International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
The group won the main prize of the prestigious festival and received several special awards, confirming the high level of Turkmen circus art on the world stage.
The festivities began in the square in front of the Akhan monument, where musical performances took place. Then, members of the group proceeded to the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly, accompanied by residents and guests of the city.
Elders, horse trainers, representatives of government structures, the diplomatic corps, and public organizations delivered welcoming speeches to the winners.
During the ceremony, they read congratulations from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who noted that the group's success enhances the country's international reputation.
At the ceremony, the group Galkynyş received a cash prize of 17,000 euros on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag. By order of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the collective also received a cash gift of 3 million manats. Additionally, the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly presented the group with a 10-day trip to the Dayanç health center in the tourist zone of Awaza, along with high-tech equipment, sports uniforms, and a Turkmen carpet.
In his congratulatory message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the victory of the Galkynyş group at the largest circus festival in the world demonstrates the high skill of Turkmen riders and their careful preservation of national traditions. The head of state wished the artists good health, prosperity, and further success in promoting Turkmen circus art.
