The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, along with ambassadors from Central Asia and Azerbaijan, participated in a trade and economic cooperation event in Gujranwala, Pakistan, on February 10. Hosted by the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gujranwala Business Center, the gathering aimed to strengthen regional partnerships and explore investment opportunities.

During the meeting with the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participants discussed expanding trade, enhancing cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses, and strengthening ties between chambers of commerce. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized the role of exhibitions and forums in attracting investment and showcasing the region’s production and export potential, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan to Pakistan.

The group was briefed on significant infrastructure projects initiated by Turkmenistan, which are expected to contribute to regional peace and sustainable development. They also discussed the UN General Assembly’s resolution “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust,” adopted at Turkmenistan's initiative, emphasizing the importance of peaceful conflict resolution.

In an interview with local media, Movlamov underscored the potential for increased trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan. Later, the ambassadors attended the opening of the Trade Facilitation Desk at the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry and visited the Made in Gujranwala exhibition to explore locally manufactured products.
