Trade between Türkiye and Turkmenistan reached $2.17 billion in 2024, Ambassador of Türkiye to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok announced at a press conference in Ashgabat.
Both countries plan to significantly expand their trade volume beyond this figure. The diplomat expressed confidence that with the rapid growth of mutual trade, the $5 billion target will be easily achieved.
Additionally, Türkiye will host the Exhibition of Turkmen Export Goods in 2025. According to the ambassador, this event will play a key role in strengthening business ties and boosting trade between the two countries.
Demirok emphasized that relevant institutions are fully prepared to support the successful organization of the exhibition.
From January to August 2024, trade turnover between the two countries reached $1.532 billion, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
