Euronews Delegation to Visit Turkmenistan for Collaboration With Local Media

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, met with Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, who shared plans to visit Turkmenistan for collaboration with local media platforms and to explore the country's cultural heritage, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat emphasized the country's commitment to developing international media cooperation and highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan's 30th anniversary of neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust. Palvanov also discussed the regular press briefings and efforts to strengthen relations with the European Union.

The parties discussed areas of collaboration, including tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and coverage of key events. Euronews expressed interest in featuring Turkmenistan in its programs, such as Explore, Cult, and Meet the Locals, and continuing to expand the country’s presence while developing new media projects.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to deepen the partnership and further represent Turkmenistan in the international media space.
