Ashgabat hosted a ceremony at the Saudi Arabian Embassy, where the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center handed over 25 tons of dates, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

Nawaf Al-Rashid, Saudi Arabia’s chargé d’affaires in Turkmenistan, and representatives of Turkmenistan’s Muftiate attended the event. The Turkmen delegation thanked Saudi Arabia for the gift, highlighting its importance for the country’s Muslim community.

The dates, traditionally eaten during iftar in the holy month of Ramadan, will be distributed to mosques and religious organizations nationwide. The donation, made through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, supports the preservation of religious traditions.

The gesture underscores the strong economic, cultural, and social ties between the two countries.
