Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy, Toyly Komekov, met with the diplomatic advisor to the President of Italy, Fabio Cassese, on Tuesday at the Quirinal Palace in Rome. During the conversation, the Turkmen diplomat delivered an invitation for the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The Ambassador extended the invitation on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The sides also discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, including in political, economic, and cultural spheres.
Earlier, Turkmenistan invited the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov; President of China, Xi Jinping; and the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov.
