Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu on Tuesday. The sides discussed the schedule of events planned for 2025 in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The meeting also addressed key issues of bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, transit-transport, and energy sectors, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Murat Nurtleu confirmed Kazakhstan's interest in further expanding and deepening strategic partnership with Turkmenistan.

At the end of the meeting, Batyr Rejepov handed over an official invitation to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were established on August 27, 1992.
