Turkmenistan successfully completed the construction of a new ceramic products manufacturing plant in the Baherden district of the Ahal velayat, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Construction and Industry, Baymyrat Annammammedov, reported during the government’s online meeting on Friday.
The vice-premier stated that the plant can produce 3.3 million square meters of ceramic tiles and 120,000 sanitary ware products annually, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
Annammammedov noted that the plant's opening will meet the growing demand for local building materials, increase the export potential of the industry, and create new jobs.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of implementing advanced equipment in new enterprises and instructed the vice-premier to ensure preparation for the commissioning of the Bäherden plant.
The meeting also addressed a number of other state issues, and the government made corresponding decisions.
