Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met with the High Commissioner of the Bangladesh High Commission, Iqbal Hussain Khan, on Thursday in Islamabad. During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat delivered an official invitation to the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mohammad Shahabuddin, to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The invitation was extended on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan.
The sides also discussed further steps to expand and deepen mutually beneficial relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of actively utilizing the potential of bilateral and multilateral cooperation both within the region and beyond.
The International Forum, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, will take place on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat.
