Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, visited the construction site of the International Pediatric Center, designed for 160 beds, during a working trip to the capital on Tuesday, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During his visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov examined the architectural features of the medical facility, the equipment in its departments, and the types of construction and finishing materials used. He paid special attention to the landscaping of the adjacent area, focusing on the harmonious combination of design elements with the architectural appearance of Ashgabat.
While inspecting the site, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of ensuring unobstructed movement for specialized transport, particularly ambulances. He instructed the head of the administration of Ashgabat, Rahym Gandyyev, to take appropriate measures.
At a working meeting held at the construction site, S. Annanyyazova, General Director of the Directorate of International Medical Centers of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, presented a report on the progress of the work, the planned departments of the center, and their technical equipment. She noted that the facility will feature modern medical systems, including equipment that will debut not only in Turkmenistan but also in the region.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also stressed the need for quality training for specialists who will work with advanced equipment. He highlighted that the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies will elevate medical services to a new level.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the completion of construction, the internal and external decoration of the center, and its compliance with modern healthcare requirements. They emphasized the development of pediatrics, including neurology, endocrinology, orthopedics, allergology, and childhood diseases.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan underscored that the health of the younger generation is a top priority of state policy and expressed confidence that the new center will serve as an important link in the national healthcare system for many years to come.
