Turkmenistan to Host Turkmen-Armenian Economic Cooperation Commission Meeting

Turkmenistan will host the 10th meeting of the Turkmen-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the preparations for this event during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan 

During the upcoming meeting, participants will discuss the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade and economy, fuel and energy, finance, science and education, high technologies, sports, culture, healthcare, transport and communication, as well as strengthening the legal framework and interregional ties.

The Deputy Prime Minister presented a proposal for the Commission's composition from the Turkmen side to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. 

The head of state emphasized the need for thorough preparation for the meeting and approved the proposed composition, instructing Amanov to ensure all preparatory activities are completed.

On March 13, 2025, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia, met with President Vahagn Khachaturyan of the Republic of Armenia. Ayazov conveyed an invitation to the forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
