The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, confirmed his participation in the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum, which will be held in Ashgabat, in a letter addressed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
In his letter, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed gratitude for the invitation to the forum, as well as for the attention to the development of Tatarstan-Turkmenistan cooperation, which contributes to strengthening relations between the Russian Federation, Tatarstan, and Turkmenistan.
The Head of Tatarstan noted that peace and trust are the most important values that ensure the security of countries, the prosperity of peoples, and the strengthening of spirituality and harmony. According to him, the upcoming forum will contribute to the development of preventive diplomacy, enhancing mutual trust, and sustainable development of states.
At the end of the letter, Minnikhanov expressed hope for a new meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, within the framework of the upcoming event.
The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited Ashgabat on February 18 of this year. During the visit, negotiations were held to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.
