The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent condolences to the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, after a fire in the city of Kochani caused numerous casualties and injuries, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan on Monday.
The head of state expressed heartfelt support for the families and loved ones of the deceased and wished for a swift recovery for the injured.
The fire, which broke out on Sunday, claimed the lives of 59 people and injured over 150.
The country has declared a seven-day national mourning period, according to Euronews.
