China Invites Turkmenistan to International Economic Exhibition in Beijing

Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce, invited Turkmenistan to participate in the international economic exhibition in Beijing this July. The invitation was announced during the Investing in the Future of Turkmenistan forum on March 18, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Yu emphasized the need to expand economic ties between the two countries, noting their complementary economies. He highlighted trade and agriculture as key areas for cooperation.

China plans to strengthen trade relations and develop cooperation with Turkmenistan in the oil and gas sector, cross-border e-commerce, and electric power. The country continues to expand investments and explore new avenues for economic growth. Yu expressed confidence in deepening bilateral cooperation.

In 2024, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China reached $10.6 billion. Turkmenistan primarily exports natural gas to China through pipelines.
