Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov met with Georgian Minister for Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Protection Mikheil Sarjveladze in Tbilisi on Monday to discuss prospects for healthcare cooperation.

Both sides explored potential areas of collaboration, including professional exchanges between medical universities. They also agreed to consider organizing joint professional events such as conferences, seminars, and forums.

During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to Turkmenistan in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The ambassador informed the minister about major international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the designation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust." He thanked the Georgian government for supporting the "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" resolution, which the UN General Assembly adopted on March 21, 2025, at its 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session.

Both sides expressed confidence that these initiatives would further strengthen Turkmen-Georgian relations.
