The General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Mammethan Chakyyev, met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan, Ahmed Al-Hameli, to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the transport sector.
Negotiations focused on prospective areas of bilateral cooperation in the transport industry, logistics, and communication technologies, as reported on Tuesday by the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan is a government body responsible for implementing state policy in the areas of transport, communications, space, cybersecurity, and digital economy development, as well as for state regulation and oversight in these fields.
Previously, Turkmenistan and the UAE discussed cooperation in natural gas, electricity, renewable energy sources, and transport-logistics cooperation.
