Turkmenistan is preparing a project to modernize the wagon-cleaning facility at the Turkmenbashy railway station in the Balkan velayat. The announcement was made by Mammethan Chakyyev, director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, during an online government meeting on Friday.
The measures aim to strengthen the railway sector’s infrastructure and improve working conditions for industry employees, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, Chakyev presented a proposal to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on infrastructure upgrades, emphasizing the importance of these efforts for the sector’s efficient operation.
President Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for fully utilizing the railway network’s potential and called for train stations to align with modern requirements.
The head of state approved the modernization proposal and instructed the agency to begin implementing the measures.
