Representatives of Turkmenistan and Romania on Wednesday discussed the prospects of joint energy projects aimed at diversifying energy resources, optimizing the transportation of oil and gas, and developing renewable energy sources.

The negotiations took place during a visit to the country by a Romanian delegation led by the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Energy, Paul Casian Nitulescu, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed key areas of cooperation in the energy sector, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue and the exchange of innovative ideas for the effective implementation of joint projects.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Romania were established in 1992, with energy, trade, and transport remaining the main areas of cooperation.
