President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State and Cabinet Member Emir Turki bin Mohammed Al Saud in Ashgabat on Wednesday. The parties noted the significant potential for developing partnerships in oil and gas extraction, processing, and supply to global markets, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening effective cooperation.
Both sides emphasized that the substantial natural resource reserves in both countries provide a solid foundation for deepening collaboration in the energy sector, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During talks on trade and economic relations, they expressed satisfaction with growing bilateral trade. President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to economic modernization, diversification, and attracting foreign investment as key national development priorities.
At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed confidence in further expanding productive cooperation and exchanged best wishes.
On the same day, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, also met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State and Cabinet Member Emir Turki bin Mohammed Al Saud.
