Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine Toyly Atayev met with the Chairperson of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Ina Koșeru, on Wednesday at the Moldovan Parliament building in Chișinău. During the talks, Ina Koșeru expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan in the diversification of energy supplies.
The Turkmen diplomat highlighted the successful participation of the Moldovan side in the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments to Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Sector, which took place in Paris last year, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.
Toyly Atayev also provided information on the activities of the Mejlis and Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as presented new legislative initiatives aimed at the development of the country's economy and social sphere.
The sides also discussed preparations for the High-Level International Forum Peace and Trust, which will take place on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality. Moldova was invited to participate in this important event, and opportunities to strengthen diplomatic and inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries within its framework were also considered.
On the same day, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Sergey Kharya, and Vice President Mihai Bilba.
